Terms and Conditions
Our Dogs Can, hereafter referred to as 'ODC', 'we', 'our' or 'us', is a one-person entity that provides group training classes and workshops, collectively known a 'service(s)', 'lesson(s), 'booking(s), or 'classe(s)'. The 'client(s)', 'owner(s), refers to the person filling out the registration form and antyone ffiliated with or responsbiel for the dog that attends a training session or class.
In the interests of safety to ODC, volunteers, clients, handlers and spectators, please read and agree to the following conditons.
This decleration sets out the terms in which ODC accepts a client onto any session or class. When the client agrees to this decleration, they will be bound by all ODC Terms and Conditions.
ODC reserves the right to introduce changes at any time when it is in the interest of clients, ODC and dogs.
Bookings and Payment
1. All classes will be held at the ODC premises, unless otherwise agreed prior to booking.
2. All fees must be paid at the time of booking, prior to the service commencing. A booking cannot be made without full payment.
3. Classes can only be paid for via a direct booking link provided by ODC. Cash payments are not accepted.
Cancellation and Refunds
4. Subject to any statutory rights of cancellation, payments for classes are non-refundable and non-transferable unless otherwise stated in these Terms and Conditions. Refunds, if any, shall be made entirely at ODC discretion with a 10% administrative fee deducted.
5. If your booking is made within 14 days of the service commencing, then you agree to waive the right to rely upon the 14-day statutory cooling-off and cancellation period.
6. If the client fails to attend a class then no refund shall be given.
7. No refunds will be given if a client decides not to use the full number of class sessions from a purchased course.
8. No refunds will be given if a client withdraws from a class before their start date.
9. No refunds will be given for missed clients, and clients cannot attend classes beyond the designated course timetable they have signed up to.
10. ODC reserves the right to terminate the contract (at any time, with immediate effect) if any dog under the contract does not respond well to the training plan and/or other dogs. This includes, but is not limited to, dogs that are not comfortable in a class environment. Partial refunds will apply, with a 10% administrative fee deducted.
11. ODC reserves the right to terminate the contract (at any time, with immediate effect) if the client or anyone with an attending dog is abusive towards any ODC staff or volunteer. No refunds shall be given.
12. If a client is non-compliant, or withholding information about their dog, including but not limited to aggression, which could compromise the safety of ODC staff and volunteers and other class members, then the contract will be terminated immediately and no refund will be given.
13. Refunds, if any, shall be made entirely at ODC discretion. Please note, 10% will be deducted to cover administrative costs.
14. Any refunds granted by ODC will be paid to the clients on the card the original service was booked with. Refunds can take up to 14 working days to appear in the client's account.
General
15. The training carried out in the courses is ‘hands-off’, kind and ethical. At no time should a dog be forced or physically handled to complete an activity; this includes pushing bottoms to force a sit or down. Regular food / toy rewards throughout the training are essential, to ensure the experience is fun and positive for all dogs.
16. Shock/spray/vibrating collars, prong collars, extendable leads & long lines are not permitted to
be worn at classes.
17. Results from training classes are not guaranteed. Training results require long-term commitment from the client.
18. Please do not arrive more than 5 minutes early for your class. This ensures the previous client(s) have left the premises.
19. Parking is only permitted on the gravel car park.
20. Dogs must be kept on leads on the premises, unless instructed otherwise by ODC. This includes going to and from the car park.
21. Bitches in season will not be permitted to attend classes.
22. Any behavioural issues a dog has must be declared on the registration form.
23. There is no poo bin on the premises. It is the handler's responsibility to clear up and dispose of any fouling, both outside and inside the training venue. You should, where possible, encourage your dog to toilet before leaving the house to ensure they are comfortable and ready to learn upon arrival.
24. Children are welcome to attend and take part in classes, but must be supervised by an adult. They cannot run around the venue, disturb the class, or climb on the dog equipment. Any children found doing so, will not be welcomed back to class.
Health and Safety
25. Clients must always follow the instructions of the trainer.
26. ODC cannot be held liable for any losses of any kind that arise from this contract or the provision of our services save for death or personal injury caused be negligence. This clause does not attempt to avoid any liability which cannot be exclused by law.
27. ODC accepts no responsibility for any damage to, theft of, or from your vehicle.
28. The client should be aware that the ground is uneven in places and caution should be taken.
29. The client is advised to wear sensible and appropriate footwear and clothing , particularly in winter when the training barn gets cold.
30. Clients are responsible for ensuring their dog is fit and healthy to attend training. It is advised that your dog is fully vaccinated or titre tested and treated for fleas, worms and ticks.
31. Smoking and vaping is not permitted on the premises.
32. ODC classes are situated on a working yard. Please do not approach or attempt to pet the horses or animals on site.
33. Our Dogs Can holds public liability and professional indemnity insurance; however, this does not cover the damage your dog may do to other dogs/people or property while attending classes. We cannot be held responsible for such occurrences and recommend that all dogs are insured.
34. A dog cannot attend class if any of the following apply: they have been in contact with other dog(s) that have been coughing/unwell in the last 7 days, are coughing themselves or have sickness/diarrhoea.
35. ODC will apply personal judgement and cancel or cut short a training session, if neccessary because of extreme weather or trainer illness. In such circumstances the class wil be rearanged.
